Travelling

It is worth to watch – interview with Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is an actor. He is best known from the science fiction-action trilogy “The Matrix”. I don’t want to write his biography or only posted his interview. I would like to present the festival and the topic for which this interview took place.

Since 2010 in Bydgoszcz, Poland the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus Camerimage has been held. It is a festival dedicated to cinematography and its creators cinematographers. Before this location the festival was in Toruń and later in Łodź.

At the end of November, my city becomes a place where I could meet people from film and media industry.  This kind of festival is unique because anywhere in world we can’t find similar festival.
The festival is a great opportunity for students. Because during the week festival last, various workshops took place.

However in 2010 not only students learned some important facts during the workshops but also Keanu Reeves.  He came here to broaden his mind and it was a great place for him to meet so many cinematographers.

He is one of the authors of “Side by Side” document.  It is about rivalry between film reel and digital. Thanks to this festival the document developed in the specific way.
Therefore he came back but with the ended document which opened the festival. Unfortunately I couldn’t see this but I hope that in the future I will get a change to watch this. The digital and reel films rivalry interest me and also fascinate. Because it is always question, what is better? Something we knew very good or something different but unfamiliar for us.

After I read this article I thought that I have to write something about this incredible talented person.
Jake Bugg is only eighteen years old but he sound much older and mature. He is an English singer and songwriter. His work is influenced by Bob Dylan,Donovan,Jimi Hendrix,Oasis and The Beatles.
The article summarise briefly the achievements he had accomplished. His ideas for songs he wrote and present him us musically talented person who didn’t need a synthesizer but only his guitar.  Article quote also lyrics of his song showing his “ability to write deceptively simple songs that feel as though they’ve been around forever”. When he was 16 years old he wrote a “Country Song”:
Gonna sing you an old country song, from the heart
So I can cry your name and call you when I'm sad
When you have gone, run so far from me in the trees so far

Walkin' down that old country lane, drops of rain
Call upon the ones who call your name
Will I see you again and please just come on back home to me
So I'm not all alone

Gonna sing you an old country song, from the heart
From the strings of this old rusty guitar

His voices we can compare to the smoker’s voice of man twice his age and ability.  Jake Bugg is my peer, however I admire him as an artist and I have a hope that in the future whole world will knew him. He shows people that with hard work and talent you can achieve something huge in your life at young age. The way to live depends only on you and your actions. Jake Bugg confirms that statement.  He wanted to become a musician and he achieves this. Talent is very important to succeed, however the love and desire to hard work is also very important.  I hope that I also in the future will be able to say that my life depends only on me.

Time for a screenplay

Together with my two friends I created the life performance. I like performing and explore myself by art so I saw in it a great experience.  I wrote the screenplay based on Edgar Allan Poe short story "The Tell-Tale Heart". It is a history about a first - person narrator who suffers a disease (nervousness). He lives together with an old man. After sometime the narrator murder the man. He dismembers the body and puts the pieces under the floorboards. However pangs of conscience cause that he breaks down and confesses.

My story is similar, but there is different ending than in the original Edgar Allan Poe from 1843.
