 Trip to France.

Unfortunately, the Comenius program ended. Our last visit took place in France. For almost two years we worked with schools from Italy, Slovakia, Romania and France and Poland. We had a chance to meet amazing and interesting people as well as took up actions associated with the alternative energies. It gave us also an opportunity to see how schools in different countries look like. How our peers behave and have fun. For the last exchange I went with my class friends. We went to Bron in France. This town is located 10 km from Lyon. The stay in France was for us was an incredible experience. Mostly because we lived with ours French friends and we were going to their school. Before the trip started we were afraid how they will welcome us. However, the fear was not justified and French people turned out to be friendly and helpful. During this week stay we could learn more about French culture and traditions which are different than Polish. Sometimes this differences turned into problems, like long waiting because others were late. However, we got used to it and the trip was successful.

France is usually associated with beautiful weather sun and hot. However, it wasn’t so when we were there. During the first days the sky was cloudy. The temperature was really low. However, for the last day for the farewell appeared the sun and it become warm.

The main goal of our trip was to sum up all earlier stays: in Italy, Slovakia, Romania and Poland. The meeting took part on Friday. As a representation of our school we presented the description of the sequence of meetings. Also we showed how in Poland people celebrate Easter and how Bydgoszcz looks like.

The stay in France was interesting but not exhausting. The plan of our trip was loose and we had a chance to rest and find out how the real life in France looks like. Our French friends took us for shopping, sightseeing the Lyon and evening time meetings. During the stay in France we had a chance to visit the Switzerland, Genewa. Ours main point to visit was CERN. That is the European Organization for Nuclear Research. We spent in this place the whole day and we found out very interesting facts about nuclear energy. It was very hard and difficult trip. What is also very interesting, CERN is the cradle of WWW. One of the workers, Tom Berners  Lee in 1989 created the HTML language.

Our stay in Lyon gave us also a chance to discover the history about the filmmaking. During the sightseeing of brothers Lumiere Museum we could see how they created the first film and watch this. We also visited the typical French restaurant "Biere George".

The programme Comenius was a great occasion to meet new and interesting people. We are coming from different countries and we have different customs. However, we all became friends.

Trip to Italy:

April 2011, started for nine students from our school with incredible trip to Milan. The fashion capital of Italy. The weather there were great and people friendly and very helpful. This amazing weekend gave us a lot of new experience and learned useful information about energy. We were sightseeing Bergamo and Portofino. Bergamo is very beautiful town and comune (the basic administrative division) in Lombardy and about 40 km northeast of Milan. We spend there a whole day and at the end we ate a typical Italian food. It was really good and tasty. The next place we visited in Italy was small Italian fishing village, comune and tourist resort located in the province of Genoa on the Italian Riviera. The town is crowded round its small harbor, is closely associated with Paraggi Beach, which is a few minutes up the coast. We were lying on the beach and talking together. It was our last day so we were trying to spend as much time together as possible. The most important place we visited was a waste energy plant AMSA in Milan. It was really interesting place where we could see how the wastes are collected and destroyed.
